FACT: In each professional
firm, there are a small percentage of partners who bring in
most of the business. They are commonly known as the “rainmakers.”
FACT: The rest of the partners
bring in some, little or no business.
FACT: In today’s economy,
professional firms are experiencing large overhead, slow paying
clients,clients’ resistance to high fees and increasing
competition from other firms.
FACT: Attending marketing
seminars by itself is not an effective way of getting partners
to market. The training industry itself admits that, “92%
of those individuals who attend seminars do nothing different
in response to attending the seminar.”
FACT: There is a need for
additional partners to get more involved in marketing and
bring new clients to the firm.
